About Our Department

The Mission of the Blackfoot Fire Department is to minimize loss of life, property, and the environment from fires, natural disasters, and life threatening situations.

Vision Statement
It is our vision to be known as an innovative and progressive fire department. We are dedicated to the delivery of effective fire suppression activities, rescue services, hazardous materials operations, and quality fire/safety education to the public. We strive to offer the best available education and training to our members.

We are committed to providing an environment which fosters teamwork among members. We desire to have an atmosphere of open communication which promotes the health and welfare of individual members.
Our Mission Statement


We respond to approximately 525 fire calls per year, ranging from structure, wildland, vehicle fires, vehicle accidents, and good intent calls. We also respond to approximately 2450 ambulance calls per year ranging from medical, trauma, transports, and good intent calls. 

We provide continuous protection from two stations:
  • Station 1 is located in the City of Blackfoot
  • Station 2 is located in the Townsite of Rockford.
